Scent marketing is a special part of the sensory marketing, which is one of the more traditional marketing branches.
It creates olfactory actions which can attract the consumer's attention, when wanted, into a chosen place and for the required duration, in order to generate amazement and reminding of the product / brand.
It is often mistakenly associated with environmental perfuming. Here's the difference:
Scent marketing: you build a relationship one to one between the product and the consumer.
Environmental perfuming: you create an "environment to consumer" relationship.
